TREE REMOVAL

We have the equipment and expertise to handle both commercial and residential jobs, ranging from removing small six-foot ornamental trees up to removal of a row of towering 130-foot pines.

We target dead or decaying trees, or trees that are near your home or building that pose a hazard. Our new grapplesaw truck allows us to remove trees via remote control technology eliminating need for tree climbers and aerial lifts—making it more safe and efficient. Most of our tree removals can now be done using this grapplesaw truck, spider lift or crane, as our employees only climb trees on less than 10% of all of our tree removals.

After a tree is removed, we can also grind the stump at the same time, if requested.

TRIMMING, SHAPING AND TOPPING

The best time to trim and shape trees is fall and winter when trees are starting to go dormant because the wounds seal faster and are less susceptible to disease and insects.

With all of our trimming and shaping, our goal is to improve air circulation to reduce wind damage and lessen chance of disease.

Depending on the health of the tree, we can do crown reduction, as well as elevate and thin out the center. This is a delicate balance, as you don’t want to open the center of the canopy too much and let the summer sunlight scorch the tree.

Though not always recommended, in some instances, such as if a tree has suffered from severe storm damage, tree topping can reduce the size of a tree by up to 90 percent.

STUMP GRINDING

Our specialized equipment allows us to dig down 6 to 12 inches, getting below the root system. After a tree has been removed, the high-speed disk with teeth grinds the stump and turns the wood into small chips.

Whether you just need us to grind one tree stump or clear an entire lot, no job is too big or too small. And we can handle the entire process, from grinding the stump, to cleaning up the grindings, to adding topsoil and planting grass seed.

HYDROSEEDING/LAWN INSTALL

As part of our all-encompassing services, we also have a Hydroseeding Division, so we can handle the entire job—from tree removal and stump grinding to grass installation.

We offer hydroseeding, as well as traditional seed and straw installation, for a lawn that will come in thick, lush and green. Typically, hydroseeding is a cost-effective option (12 to 15 cents per square feet for a prepared ground) if you have a lot of acreage. We use a blend of seeds, including Kentucky Bluegrass, which grows well in this area.

We recommend installing a new lawn in the spring or fall to best establish root growth in optimal temperatures and growing conditions.

LAND CLEARING

Servicing both residential and commercial clients, we can clear land for a homeowner to build a new house, a general contractor to build an entire new housing development or business owners who wants to expand their facilities.

Using our advanced machinery, including mulchers and chippers, we abide by EPA guidelines and take care not to disturb the natural habitat. When clearing land near water sources, we install silt fences to prevent erosion and make sure the soil is ready for re-vegetation.

STORM DAMAGE CLEANUP

We work with restoration companies, insurance companies and directly with homeowners to clean up property after storm damage—whether high winds, thunderstorm or winter snowstorm.

Available 24/7 to handle any emergency, we usually are the first on site to remove any fallen trees before roofers and other contractors can do their work. After a storm, we often start work in middle of the night or the next morning. And we go the extra step as we not only will remove a tree that has fallen on your property, but tarp the roof or damaged structure to provide temporary protection.

To help streamline the process, we will get your insurance information and contact your insurance company to handle everything.

FIREWOOD PROCESSING AND DELIVERY

After we remove trees, we process the tree trunk into firewood. We sell cords (approximately 700 pieces) and bundles (8 pieces) of seasoned firewood year-round.

All our firewood is seasoned. It typical takes 4 to 10 months for the wood to dry out before we cut and split the logs into firewood. This perfectly seasoned wood is then ready to burn. We offer delivery on all cords of firewood.
